The Experience
Whether you’re an auto racing fan or not, everyone can relate to the thrill of putting the “pedal to the metal” and feeling the adrenaline rush that goes with holding the wheel of a fast car! Here’s your chance to experience that thrill in a fun, relaxed and controlled environment.
We’ll bring the car. We’ll provide the race track. We’ll even bring the helmets, suits and anything else you’ll need to make your day memorable.
All you need to bring is your sense of adventure!

Happy Hour Stock Car Driving Experience is designed as a fun and informative outing for you and your friends, staff or corporate clients. It is not a driving “school”, though you will receive some instruction, as safety is the top priority. The next priority, of course, is fun and constant activity for your time at the track.
It’s a great introduction for first-timers, and a fun chance to get back out on the track for those who’ve had some experience behind the wheel of a race car. Either way, you and your group are sure to enjoy a great day! |

Typical schedule
Happy Hour Stock Car Driving Experience typically offers half and full-day sessions of ten (10) people each. A typical half-day session would go as follows:
Arrival at the race track
In class instruction (approximately 15 minutes)
Group is split two smaller groups of 5 people each:
a) 5 people take to the track in street vehicle (low speed) to survey the track layout
b) The other 5 people are taken to the race car to be given overall instruction
c) The groups then switch
Next comes everyone’s chance to take the race car out on their own, or to ride along with one of the instructors.
Note: All packages are designed for approximately 5 laps of ride-along and 10 laps of driving the car, per person, based on maximum of 10 people per half-day session. Number of laps may vary depending on group size.
Questions are welcome throughout the day and, of course, everyone is encouraged to get involved.
You’ll be amazed at how much fun your group will have as each person takes their turn at the wheel. It’s a great time and a great way to learn too!
Packages are fully customizable to include whatever you would like for you and your group. Food, additional entertainment, transportation to and from the track and much more: Just ask us and we can make it happen!
About the Instructor

Doug Capes is a veteran of stock car schools at such tracks as Michigan International Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway and Darlington Raceway. His personable manner and intricate knowledge of the sport make him a perfect host for any party, whether they’re first-timers or experienced “gear heads!” |

About the team
For most half-day sessions, you’ll enjoy the company of three “Happy Hour” team members. Quite often, along with Instructor Doug Capes, the rest of the team may consist of Ron Sheridan and Ken Kellestine.
Sheridan, an accomplished veteran of Late Model racing at Delaware Speedway and former CASCAR Super Series National competitor, has traveled all over North America conducting corporate coaching and teaching teamwork based on his racing experience. Kellestine is Sheridan’s long-time crew chief. Together they make a fun and incredibly knowledgeable combination that your guests are sure to love.
Other equally capable instructors may be involved based on availability.

About the car
The Happy Hour Stock Car is a full-bodied Late Model CASCAR-style stock car. The car has a fiberglass body and a 400 hp GM crate engine under the hood. It’s the real deal! But you’ll find that out for yourself! |
