DAVID FRANCEY TO PERFORM AT SARNIA LIBRARY
CPT Entertainment will present two-time Juno Award winner November 14th
October 11, 2007

Two-time Juno Award-winning singer/songwriter, David Francey, will perform at the Sarnia Library Auditorium in Sarnia (124 Christina Street South) on Wednesday, November 14. The event is being produced by CPT Entertainment Inc.

Currently supporting his seventh release, “Right of Passage,” Francey has been described as “One of Canada’s most revered folk poets and singers” (Toronto Star) and “The best songwriter working in Canada today” (Victoria Times Colonist).

Known for his exceptional storytelling and warm and genuine performances, Francey burst onto the scene in 1999 with the release of his debut CD, “Torn Screen Door.” His follow up, 2001’s “Far End of Summer,” earned him a Juno Award, as did his third CD, “Skating Rink,” released in 2003.

Francey has since released the Juno-nominated “Waking Hour” in 2004 and both “Live From Folk Alley” and “Carols for a Christmas Eve” in 2006, just prior to issuing “Right of Passage” early this year.

His songs have been widely covered by artists such as the Rankin Family, the Del McCoury Band, James Keelaghan and the Barra McNeils, among many others.

His prolific work ethic has been coupled with a relentless touring schedule, which in 2007 has seen him criss-cross the continent several times to appear at numerous festivals, events and as a headliner at stand-alone venues. The result has been the development of a loyal and enthusiastic following as well as a vast collection of people, places and things that inevitably end up serving as the backdrop of many of Francey’s finely crafted songs.

Francey will be accompanied by guitarist Craig Werth.

Kevin Bulmer of London will open the show, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. Bulmer, a former radio host on CHOK Radio, will play in support of his debut CD “I Remember,” and will be accompanied by guitarist Dave Cook of Sarnia.

Tickets are $22 in advance, $25 at the door. Advanced tickets are available now online at www.cptentertainment.com. Tickets will also be available for purchase at The Sampler in Lambton Mall in Sarnia beginning October 17.
